Comparison
RunMark vs MRPeasy: line scheduling or full MRP?
MRPeasy is a full MRP/ERP system for small manufacturers. RunMark is narrower: finite-capacity line scheduling and traceability labels for process manufacturers running roughly 2–20 lines, with extrusion as the core fit.
If you need bills of materials, purchasing, and accounting in one system, RunMark will not replace MRPeasy. If your hard problem is deciding what runs on which line, and when, around sequence-dependent changeovers, that is the problem RunMark is built for.

| RunMark | MRPeasy | |
|---|---|---|
| Main job | Line scheduling and traceability labels | MRP/ERP: production planning, BOMs, inventory, purchasing, CRM, standard accounting |
| Bills of materials and purchasing | Not included | Included in all plans |
| Capacity model | Each line’s own shift calendar; runs cannot overlap on a line | Finite capacity by workstation and worker availability |
| Changeover / setup time | Minutes for each product-to-product switch on each line, so setup depends on what ran before | Described in its manual as a fixed setup time per routing operation |
| Multi-step routings | Not supported: each order runs as one step on a line (large orders can be split across lines) | Supported |
| Traceability | PDF labels generated from the scheduled run, with run and unit numbers | Lot traceability in all plans; barcode system on higher plans |
| Pricing | $249/month or $2,490/year, flat, with unlimited lines, orders, and SKUs (up to 5 team members on monthly, unlimited on yearly) | Per user per month, from $49 (Starter) to $149 (Unlimited) |

How RunMark schedules around changeovers
You set which products each line can run, each line’s rate for each product, shift calendars, and the changeover minutes for each product-to-product switch. RunMark’s optimizer places orders only on eligible lines inside shift hours, reserves the changeover time before each run, and never places two runs closer together than their changeover allows. If the optimizer is unavailable, a simpler fallback scheduler drafts the schedule instead; the draft review shows which one produced it. The fallback also reserves your changeover minutes before and after every run it places, but it places orders one at a time in due-date order instead of weighing them all together.
It weighs due dates and changeover time when choosing slots. It does not search for the sequence with the least total changeover across the week, and it only knows the minutes you enter for each product pair.
When RunMark is the better fit
- Changeover time depends heavily on sequence—resin, color, die, or size changes—and that is what makes your schedule hard.
- Lines differ in what they can run and how fast, so a single workstation rate per operation is too coarse.
- You already have accounting or ERP for purchasing and inventory, and the gap is the line schedule and labels.
- You want flat pricing rather than per-user pricing.
When MRPeasy is the better fit
- You need BOMs, material requirements planning, purchasing, and stock control in the same system as the schedule.
- Your products move through several operations or workstations in sequence.
- You want CRM and standard accounting in the same tool.
Frequently asked questions
Is RunMark an MRP system?
No. RunMark has no bills of materials, material requirements planning, purchasing, or accounting. It schedules orders onto production lines and generates traceability labels from those runs.
How do the two handle changeover time?
RunMark stores changeover minutes for each product-to-product pair on each line, so a switch can take a different time depending on what ran before. MRPeasy’s user manual describes setup time as a fixed time per routing operation; check with MRPeasy for its current options.
Can RunMark import orders from MRPeasy?
There is no direct integration. RunMark imports orders from Excel files, and also supports direct order entry.
Is RunMark priced per user?
No. RunMark is $249/month or $2,490/year, flat, with unlimited lines, orders, and SKUs (up to 5 team members on monthly, unlimited on yearly).
